The debate stems from David Beckham plans to retire from the world of football. In response to this, Piers revealed that should the father of four break from the gridiron.
"For whatever reason, there will be no team with high flying hours would seriously sign a contract with David Beckham. Should he retire with honor," wrote Piers.
Apparently this makes personnel One Direction are not happy. As a fan of David Beckham, they insist that the husband of Victoria Beckham will still be a hero until whenever.
